About Us

Rod & Raquettes Guide Service is located in beautiful upstate New York, the foothills of the Adirondacks. Owned and operated by the Cucharale family, Rod & Raquettes Guide Service features the guiding expertise of licensed NYS Guide, Chris Cucharale.

Chris has spent his entire life hunting and fishing with his family, setting traditions that will be passed down to generations to come.

"I've been an outdoorsman all of my life. I began hunting and fishing at the age of 5 or 6 and was fortunate to have been born into a family of outdoorsmen who hunted and fished constantly. They hunted and fished all across the state from north to south, from the mountains of the Adirondacks to the rolling hills of New York's southern tier. In the 1960's my father, uncle and grandfather formed the Buck Horns Fish and Game Club. I was not only influenced by my family but also the members of the club, as I tagged along on what would be considered adventures in the outdoors by today's standards. Now with a son of my own, I let him tag along as often as I can so that he too can experience the great outdoors as I had. I hope to keep our traditions alive for may generations to come and maybe share a few things along the way!"
